The Reckoners

YA series (non-Cosmere) set in a world where super-powered individuals called Epics have conquered civilization. David Charleston, an obsessive Epic researcher, joins the Reckoners — a group of ordinary humans who assassinate Epics. Think superheroes-as-villains with methodical takedown plans.

Fast-paced, action-heavy, and full of intentionally terrible metaphors (it's a character thing). The series includes three main novels plus the novella Mitosis and the graphic novel Lux.
